This is an original 1874 black and white double-page wood engraving of an illustration by G. Durand that depicts Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland (1819-1901) reviewing soldiers in the Royal Marine Artillery Naval Brigade, (aka "Blue Jackets"), during a military parade at the Royal Clarence Victualing Yard in Gosport, England after the Third Anglo-Ashanti War that was fought between the British Empire and the Ashanti Empire for control of the Gold Coast, (now Ghana), Africa from 1873-1874 during the Victorian era.
