Period Paper is pleased to offer a stunning collection of original antique photogravures from 1902 with images of the royal marriage of Marie Louise of Austria to the Emperor Napoleon I. Napoleon divorced his first wife Josephine and married Marie Louise in 1810 with the hope that she might be able to give him the heir that Josephine could not provide. These portraits and paintings offer a fascinating look at the important people and places during the First French Empire. Each item from this limited edition collection (No. 330 of 1000) is printed on Rives paper, and many of the photogravures have plate impressions, watermarks, and one or more deckle edges that are not visible on the digital image. In order to provide a closeup image of the photogravure, the digital image is slightly smaller than the actual item.
