This is an original 1917 black and white print article set (first of which- eight pages, double-sided, second of which - four pages, double-sided) entitled, "Washington Expanding: The National Capital as the Visitor of 1918 will see it" by Ernest Knaufft and "Washington in Wartime" by Theodore Tiller that chronicles the construction and building projects in Washington DC during World War I. Including the; the Connecticut Avenue Bridge, the Pan-American Union Building, the Carnegie Institution of Washington, the American Red Cross Building, the Arlington Memorial Amphitheater, the Lee Mansion in Arlington Cemetery, the George Washington Memorial Hall, the Temple of Scottish Rite, the Continental Hall of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Lincoln Memorial, the City Post Office, and the West Wing of the Department of Agriculture Building.
