This is an original 1858 black and white wood engraving of the infamous 2nd century Roman arch now known as the Ecce Homo Arch after Pontius Pilate's meeting with Jesus Christ. It was supposedly here that he presented Jesus, in mantle and crown of thorns, to the people of Jerusalem.
