This is an original 1870 lithograph that shows some examples of German, English, Spanish, and French sculptures including: Adoration of the Magi by George Syrlin the Younger; Theodorich, King of the Goths and Margaretha, Daughter of Maximilion I; English Glass Painting; Bas-Relief from the Tomb of Henry II; Figure of a Bishop; Monument of Don Alonzo by Gil Siloe; Baptism of Christ and the Beheading of John the Baptist, Reliefs by Alonzo Berrugette; Diana de Poitiers as Ariadne; Monument of Cardinal Cisneros by Domenico Florentino; Resting Bacchante, Marble Relief , Diana de Poitiers, and Caryatide by Jean Goujon.

This lithograph is from a collection detailing the history and beauty of architecture from prehistoric times through the 1800s. Due to the heavy stock of the paper, the original plate emboss can still be viewed in the margins of most lithographsÑa rare and highly desirable feature of this art. Our digital capture process enhances the visibility and tone of the foxing; however, in the original pieces the foxing, especially along the edges, is less pronounced. Virtually all foxing is restricted to the outermost margin and would be eliminated when framed.

This 141+ year old Item is rated Fine / Very Good. No creases. No tears. No water damage. There is some light foxing in the margins and light spotting throughoutÐÐplease see image.
