This is an original 1873 black and white wood engraving of the interiors of tombs in Jerusalem. The top image is of the South Gate and the bottom is of the East Gate. These gates have all the marks of Jewish architecture with an addition of Roman work inside. This image was taken from a book of travels from M. Wolcott Redding.
