"The Wilmington Giant"

This is an original 1874 black and white in-text wood engraving of an illustration that depicts the hill figure known as the Long Man of Wilmington, (or the Wilmington Giant, the Green Man), that is located on the slopes of Windover Hill near Wilmington, East Sussex, England. The figure stands 69.2 meters (227 ft) tall, and is speculated by archaeologists and historians to have originated in either the Neolithic period, Iron Age, or the early 16th or 17th centuries.
