This is a rare original 1875 color chromolithograph that depicts a selection of Greco-Roman designs gleaned from historical bas-reliefs, mosaics, and painted murals. It is thought that many of the interesting patterns and motifs originated with the oriental influences brought back by Alexander the Great during his travels.
