This is an original 1882 hand-colored lithograph by English entomologist William Forsell Kirby (1844-1912), of several species of moths from the Cymatophoridae and Acronyctidae families, including; the Peach Blossom, Thyatira batis, (Fig. 1, a-b), the Cymatophora or, (Fig. 2, a-b), the Yellow Horned, Achlya flavicornis, (Fig. 3, a-b), the Asphalia ridens, (Fig. 4, a-b), the Miller, Acronicta leporina, (Fig. 5), the Alder Moth, Acronicta alni, (Fig. 6, a-b), the Grey Dagger, Acronicta psi, (Fig. 7, a-b), the Sycamore moth, Acronicta aceris, (Fig. 8), and the Scarce Dagger, Acronicta auricoma, (Fig. 9, a-b).

This 131+ year old Item is rated Very Fine ++. Moderate aging in margins. Crease extending into image. Light surface rub - left side. Small tear - right side.
