This is an original 1882 monochrome wood engraving of Oscarsborg (Oskarsborg) Fortress in Norway. The view in this engraving was taken from Koön. The Coast Guard fortress was built between 1845-1853 and is most famous for the sinking of the German warship Blücher on April 9, 1940.
