This is an original 1897 black and white halftone print that depicts the Tomb of Absalom (also, Absalom's Pillar) located in Israel's Kidron Valley. Although recent discoveries have discredited the likelihood of this being the location of Absalom's tomb, it still remains a fascinating religious site that connects to a labyrinth of burial caves which are collectively referred to as the Cave of Yehoshafat.
