This is an original 1908 black and white print ad for Pinehurst Resort located in Pinehurst, North Carolina. James Walker Tufts a soda fountain magnate founded Pinehurst. Most of Pinehurt's golf courses were designed by Donald Ross. The North and South Open was held at Pinehurst from 1902 to 1951. The North and South Amateur Golf Championships are still held here. In 1936 was the first time the PGA Tour was played at Pinehurst it was won by Denny Shute.
