Forestier, Amedee

Amedee Forestier (1854 Ð 1930) was an Anglo-French artist and illustrator who specialized in historical scenes and landscapes. He was born in Paris and illustrated for The Illustrated London News, the Windsor Magazine and for several novels. He was known for his attention to detail in archaeological representations of finds, such as of the prehistoric man. He also worked at the Royal Ontario Museum and the Museum of London.
