This is an original 1929 black and white halftone print of four Cape-to-Cairo Fliers. These small airplanes flew the longest all-land route from Cairo, Egypt, to the Cape in South Africa. In the image, they have landed in Tabora, Tanzania. There was an instance where one of these planes crashed into a large anthill when it landed on this strip in Tabora.
