This is an original 1935 halftone print portrait of Everett Essie Carter. Carter worked as the Bogieboy at Republic Steel. He was married and at the time of this publication, had worked at the company for twelve years. The company was founded in 1899 by Cyrus Eaton, and became the third largest steel producer in America during the 1920s.
