This is an original 1935 halftone print of hanging leather hides at a tannery. The caption writes, "These are the lofts where the leather spends from ten days to two weeks in a drying-out process. Walk through this loft with its thousands of pounds of leather hung up in racks all around you and you will have a vivid realization of the fact that 'inventory' is more than merely a word on a balance sheet."
