This is an original 1940 color print ad for the International Trucks promoting the Model D-500 and the Model DR-700 from International Harvester Company, Incorporated located at 186 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. This ad features an image of Edson Smith being congratulated by Ted V. Rodgers, president of the A. T. A. Edson Smith was a driver for Kirk Transportation Company, and an associate of Geo. F. Alger Company of Detroit. He won the World's Truck Driving Championship. This ad also features an image of Frank Steed driving for Georgia Highway Express of Atlanta. Frank Steed was a runner up from the Southland, and the second-place winner, both 1938 and 1939.
