This is an original 1949 halftone print of the lime tree (Tilia tree) lined street in Mogeltonder, known as the "Slotsgaden" or "The Castle Street," which was made up of paving stones. Mogeltonder is located on the Danish Jutland peninsula in Denmark.

The Lime Tree or Tilia Tree holds great historical and cultural significance in Slavic and Germanic mythology, as well as in Greek Mythology. This noteworthy tree has also been used as a romantic symbol and was referenced in the medieval poem by Walther von der Vogelweide.
