This is an original 1955 duotone rotogravure of a scene from the Hindu religious epic the Ramayana where Rama draws his bow to slay the demon Ravana. This detail is from a series of murals in the Mattancheri palace at Kochi (Cochin), India. It dates to about 1600 AD.
