This is an original 1955 duotone rotogravure of Muslim men playing the drums during the final day of Mohurram which is a Muslim festival practiced by the Shia sect to mourn the deaths of Hasan and Husain, the grandsons of the Prophet Muhammad. The drums are played all day without stopping by relays of musicians. This image is probably from the Maharashtra region of India.
