This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of the American fleet lit up on the Hudson river at night. The caption writes, "One of the several occasions when the battleships of the American fleet anchored in the Hudson have stood out in wonderful beauty, traced in light from stem to stern. At a given signal the lights blaze up and what a moment before have been stern, grim masses, scarcely discernible in the darkness, leap into brilliance as though touched by an enchanter's wand."
