1922 Rotogravure WWI Surrender White Flags German Armistice Georges Scott Art

This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of a drawing of the white flags at the end of World War I. The caption writes, "German delegates on their way to the Armistice Conference with Marshal Foch, reaching the first French lines near Haudroy Nov. 7, 1918. Here they were halted and blindfolded and conducted through the French lines to the forest of Compiegne, near Rethondes, in which was waiting the railroad car of the marshal, where the conference took place."
