This is an original 1963 color print by Rafael Montes de Oca of two members of the Chlorostilbon Canivetii family, commonly known as the Canivet Emerald Hummingbird. With an average length of 81 mm., the tail is blueish black and deeply forked in the male, less so in the female. The back is metallic bronze-green and the belly brilliant emerald-green. The orchid is Odontoglossum bictoniense, otherwise known as Bicton Rhynchostylis, is fairly rare and rows around Cordoba, Veracruz, and flowers in January and February.
