This is an original 1920 black and white print ad for the Standard Steel Car Company's Standard Eight automobile. The company, founded in 1902, by John M. Hansen and "Diamond Jim" Brady, initially focused on its production of railroad steel cars. Impressed by the quality, the Pullman company merged with SSC in 1934, and became the Pullman-Standard Car Manufacturing Company. In 1982, the company ceased its production of railroad cars and sold its plant to Trinitiy Industries in 1984.
