This is an original 1874 black and white in-text wood engraving of a photograph of a group portrait of English actor Charles Mathews (1776-1835) in costume for his role as Tom Shuffelton, Mr. Toole in costume for his role as Dennis Brulgruddery, and Mr. Phelps in costume for his role as Job Thornberry from the play entitled, "John Bull" by George Colman the Younger that was performed at the Gaiety Theatre in London, England during the Victorian era.
