Sonnet XXVIII

"My letters! all dead paper, mute and white! And yet they seem alive and quivering."

Period Paper has obtained a gorgeous set of prints, illustrated by artist Willy Pogány, of Elizabeth Barrett Browning's Sonnets from the Portuguese. Each color print is tipped in on a cream colored stock. (Please note that the mount is cream-colored although it may look green in our digital image.)

William Andrew (Willy) Pogány (1882-1955)

Hungarian-born Willy Pogány began his studies in engineering but later switched to art. He illustrated many childrenÕs books and did many illustrations for the Hearst magazines.
