This is an original 1958 lithograph by August Mosca for Joseph Torch art supplies, located at 147 West 14th Street in New York City; the New York Printing Company, located at 270 Lafayette Street in New York City and for the Berkeley Express and Moving Company, located at 526 W. Broadway in New York City. Limited Edition Original Lithograph of 2000.

This is not a lithograph "after" the artist. This lithograph was created by the original artist on the lithograph plate, and is, therefore, a true original lithograph.

Period Paper has obtained an extraordinary, ultra-rare collection of original lithographs by some of the premier graphic artists of the 1950's. These lithographs were produced for an annual art event in the 1950's for local businesses and major corporations largely based in New York. Historically important for corporate archivists, these are extremely rare to locate and are virtually unseen individually. The original lithographs were produced in only one edition, and included just 2,000. These lithographs are perhaps the most unique, rare, important advertising collectibles that exist for businesses and corporations.

August Mosca

August Mosca (1909-2002) was a native of Naples, Italy, prior to relocating to New York. He was most known for his drawings, silverpoint works, paintings, graphic art design and printmaking, as well as his abstract, impressionism and modernism styles. His works primarily centered on cityscapes, garden landscapes, portraits, still life, New York City views, and figure subjects. His works have been exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum, the Provincetown Art Association in Massachusetts, the Feragil Galleries of New York City, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the National Academy of Design and the Paint and Clay Club, with which he was also affiliated. Mosca received his formal art education at the Art Students League of New York, the Grand Central School (Academy of Art), the Yale School of Fine Art and the Pratt Institute of Art.
