This is an original 1873 black and white in-text wood engraving of the British full rigged "Blackwall Frigate" sailing ship called the Northfleet that was rammed by a steamer and sunk off the coast of Dungeness, Kent, England in the English Channel on January 22, 1873. During the ensuing panic, 293 of 379 persons on board were drowned.

This 140+ year old Item is rated Very Fine ++. Moderate aging throughout. Light creasing. There is light bleedthrough on this piece from the verso. Some light surface rub. Please note: There is printing on the verso.
