This is a rare, original 1886 black and white print ad for a leading man, comedian, soubrette and full company for the spring and summer season of '86 to support the wonderfully successful dramatic stars-- the Mellville Sisters. No fancy salaries paid. GOOD SALARIES TO GOOD PEOPLE. In an interesting historical footnote the following actors were requested NOT to write: Edwin Booth (whose brother, John Wilkes Booth, assassinated President Abraham Lincoln), Lawrence Barrett, Clara Morris, Rhea and Maggie Mitchell.
