This is an original 1882 black and white wood engraving of the Holyrood Palace and Arthur's Seat in Scotland.

This ancient and historic palace serves as the official residence of the monarch of Scotland. It is also the site where many royal figures have been buried. It is said that the naked ghost of Agnes Sampson (Bald Agnes), who was stripped and tortured in 1592 after being accused of witchcraft, continues to haunt the palace.
