This is an original 1891 five-page ( 3 pages, 2 double-sided) article "The Sewage-Disposal System of Worcester, Massachusetts" with halftone illustrations of the Disposal System: a general view of the purification works at Quinsigamond; a view of the tanks, showing the inflow of sewage; a detail plan of sections of the work; and the ground plan of the tanks.
The first sewage treatment plant using chemical precipitation in the United States was built in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1890.
