This is an original 1892 1 page article by Canadian Illustrator and Artist Palmer Cox, featuring his series: "The Brownies Through the Year." This particular print features the sixth in the series: "The Brownies in February."

The earliest Brownie characters published was said to be around 1879; however, it was not until the Wide Awake magazine's 1881 publication that the characters were actually finalized. The Eastman Kodak Brownie camera, was actually named after Cox's Brownie characters.
