This is an original 1893 black and white heliogravure of the porphyry sarcophagus the Empress Helena, mother of Constantine, and later Saint due to her accreditation of finding pieces of the True Cross on which Jesus Christ was crucified. The reliefs depict battle scenes, and there has been speculation as to whether this sarcophagus was in fact intended for her son and not her.
