Lillian Russell. The acknowledged queen of comic opera, Lillian Russell was born Helene Louisa Leonard in Iowa Dec. 4, 1861. She was married to operatic tenor, Sig. Perugini, in 1894.

Digby Bell. Born in Milwaukee, Wis., he was a well known baritone and comedian. He was married to Laura Joyce Bell.
