This is an original 1899 halftone print of the sprawling town of Kufstein, located in Tyrol, Austria. Lording over the city is the famous Kufstein fortress, mentioned in writings from as early as the 13th century, which has been used as a prison several times throughout history and is now known for the organ it houses. Slightly forward on the right is the onion dome of the church of Saint Vitus. Please note that the caption is on German.
