1905 Color Print Procession Catacomb Callistus Rome Italy Religion XGAB6
The Catacombs of Rome used to be the only real property the people could call their own. They could go there to meditate and pray and be near their loved ones and those before them whom they admired and revered, sometimes with great awe as they had died heroic deaths and were held in a state of martyrdom. In these catacombs lies the proof of the emotional loyalty of the early Christians.
