This is an original 1907 black and white print ad for Teco Pottery from The Gates Potteries, specially featuring a Roman Salad Bowl. Teco Pottery was introduced around 1902, and imitates the "Prairie School" art movement made famous by Frank Lloyd Wright. The vast majority of the pottery is finished with a matte green glaze. Teco pottery is generally defined in three categories: geometric, architectural or organic. The exact year Teco pottery ceased in existence is unknown; however, related Teco pottery items, ads and articles have been dated as late as 1923.
