This is an original 1911 halftone print of the intricate carving on the fireplace mantels in two historic houses in Salem, Massachusetts: a mantel in the Derby-Crowninshield-Rogers Mansion, architect: Samuel McIntire (1800); and a mantel in the Lindall Barnard-Andrew House (before 1760).
