This is an original 1912 halftone print of a dancing area for shaman candidates. We are assuming that this image was taken at the Kiñkyolai village.

The Chilula people are an Athapaskan tribe who inhabited the area around Redwood Creek, California. Since contact with Europeans, the Chilula have been incorporated into the Hoopa tribe.
