This is an original 1913 tipped-in halftone print of Glasgow-born Sir Colin Campbell, 1st Baron Clyde. Born in 1792, he was an officer in the British army with a notable military career. Among other He led the Highland Brigade during Crimea, and commanded both the "Thin Red Line" at Balaclava and the relief army during the Indian Mutiny of 1857.
