This is an original 1914 tipped-in, color print by Jules Guerin of the Tiberias on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee, or Lake Kinneret.
CONDITION
This 97+ year old Item is rated Very Fine. No natural defects. No surface rub. No water damage. There is some light aging of the mounting board and some creasing in the top left corner of the mounting board and a small chip in the bottom left corner, none of which affects the print. Please note that the white spot in the bottom margin is only a reflection on our digital image.

Jules Guerin
Jules Guerin (1866-1946) was born in St. Louis, Missouri and studied art in Chicago and later in Paris where he studied under Benjamin-Constant and Jean Paul Laurens. After his return from Europe he illustrated books, often travel books about exotic places including North Africa and Palestine. He took part in many of the international expositions of the day and was asked to serve as director of color at the Panama Pacific International Exposition of 1915. Guerin's mural decorations can be found in many cities in the U. S. including New York, Chicago, Cleveland, and San Francisco.
