This is an original 1916 photogravure portrait of Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790), with a short biographical sketch on the reverse. Benjamin Franklin was an American statesman, diplomat, printer, politician, inventor, scientist, and author. He was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States-- a signer of the Declaration of Independence, and one of the framers of the U.S. Constitution. As an author he is best known for Poor Richard's Almanack. Please see both images.
