This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of world champion chess players, José Raúl Capablanca seen playing forty of the finest chess experts in Paris simultaneously, and eleven year-old prodigy, Samuel Herman Reshevsky (Szmul Rzeszewski) of Russia. The caption for the latter writes, "The child chess prodigy who has come from Russia to this country after having beaten many of the best players in Europe. He is only 11 years old, but since the age of 8 has been a consistent winner against veteran players."
