This is an original 1923 halftone print of two images, the bottom image depicts the excavation site of the Stabian Baths, which was one of the most popular retreats in all of ancient Pompeii. One of the most intriguing elements to the excavation site is that the pipes that carried the water to the baths were still in existence following its excavation. The top image depicts a recreation of the exterior of the Stabian Baths with its Jubilant colors.
