This is an original 1934 halftone print of clerical workers at the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. The caption writes, "They get a minimum salary of $15 a week apiece, free lunches, free teeth-cleaning twice a year, free umbrellas when it rains, free use of a women's gymnasium, free sanatorium treatment in case of serious illness, free advice on conduct. In the cooperative store they can buy anything from brassieres to bassinets at slightly above cost. They get low-cost group insurance against sickness, old age, and death."
