Wood was most recognized for his paintings, etchings, graphic art design, illustrations and printmaking mediums. His works primarily centered on seascapes, winterscapes, architecture, figures, genre, landscapes, as well as marine and nautical subjects. WoodÕs art has been held at the International Corcoran Gallery in Washington, D. C., the Grand Central Art Galleries of New York City, the Vose Galleries of Boston, the Art Institute of Chicago, the National Academy of Design, the Holyoke Art Museum, the Washington City Museum, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and many more.
