This is an original 1936 black and white photolithograph of a painting by Jean-Paul Laurens titled "The Arrest of Broussel." Pierre Broussel was a Councillor of the Parliament of Paris, France. He opposed tax plans and was arrested for it and his arrest is what help spark the civil wars in France.
