John Groth

John Groth (1908-1988) was an illustrator and printmaker, as well as a comic strip artist. Groth worked in ink, gouache, and watercolor and studied at the Art Students League of New York (where he eventually taught) and at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Groth was an educator and lecturer, and also served as an illustrator for ÓCollierÕsÓ magazine.
