This is an original 1947 color print of an illustration featuring the traditional symbols of the University of Washington, commonly known as the U-Dub, a public research university located in Seattle, Washington. Painting by Fred Eng.

Illustrated in the image is a view of the campus from across Portage Bay; Asa Mercer's original schoolhouse; the ever-present varsity crew swinging down Lake Washington; a purple and gold banner featuring the famous Husky, a sprig of ivy and a trowel to represent Ivy Day; and the famous Four Columns.

This 64+ year old Item is rated Very Fine +++. Heavy aging throughout.Moderate creasing.No natural defects. Some heavy surface rub. No tears. Light water stain - right side. Please note that there is print on the reverse. There is also heavy scuffing and creasing in the image itself. There is a slight blur in the text at the bottom.
