This is an original 1947 color print featuring an image of the Lawrence University, previously known as Lawrence College Campus in 1860 located at 501 E. College Avenue, Appleton, Outagamie county, Wisconsin.

The Campus Green, previously known as the Main Hall Green, was built around Main Hall in 1847. It is the primary building of the campus and, in combination with Main Hall, the university's most memorable icon.

The Main Hall, previously knows as the Main Building or Recitation Hall, was the second building built on the Lawrence College campus. Architecturally the building is Vernacular Georgian and was built on 1853-1854 by Peter Williamson.
